every time one of those lists of actors that beat women comes up with michael fassbender in the list i get more and more irritated.
there is no proof, evidence, or court case to support those allegations. he was out of the country when it supposedly happened, his ex had a history of falsely accusing her boyfriends of beating her when they broke up with her, and basically the whole thing isn’t true as far as i can tell from the evidence given. im not the type of person to side with abusive men (there is a lot of history of it happening to women in my family), and always believe the woman first - but after reading up on it i came to the conclusion that it doesn’t seem to have any basis.
now of course, if i find out that he did hit his ex, i won’t support him in any way. for now though, i don’t believe it at all.
